Join us on the 24 September 2025 at 12.30pm where Food Standards Scotland will host a webinar to present the findings from three published reports, providing insights into the Out of Home (OOH) environment in Scotland.

This research includes:

  1. An overview of food and drink purchasing behaviour in the out of home environment in Scotland and Great Britain during 2022/23.
  2. Investigating the impact of promotions and other marketing strategies on consumer purchasing behaviours when ordering OOH in Scotland, using digital platforms.
  3. Insight into the nutritional value and portion size of popular take-away foods available from small, independent OOH outlets across Scotland, determined using laboratory analysis.

This research emphasises the need for a collective effort to support ongoing policy development in Scotland aimed at supporting healthier diets by improving the food environment. The webinar is endorsed as CPD by the Association for Nutrition.
