ID Verification

1) Please list the services that require users to verify their identity by sending in physical forms of documentation (e.g. a passport)?

2) Please list the services that allow users to use a digital method for proving their identity; and name the methods used (e.g. Gov.UK Verify or other equivalent digital biometric identity method)?

All identity checks for Food Standards Scotland are undertaken by Scottish Government (SG) HR Shared Services as part of the recruitment process.  Successful candidates would be required to provide the relevant documentation as part of their pre-employment checks, we do not undertake this in house.

Any contractors/contingent staff who are on placement at FSS would have their documentation/ID verified by their Employment Agency as they are the ‘employing authority’ for such individuals.
